He recently posted a blog entry regarding the daily spiritual battle we engage in, and I found it to be so well said and so vitally important for us to remember, that I am posting it on here…
Our mind is a war zone! The battle we face every single day is real (Eph. 6:10-11). Evil wants to beat us down with regret, shame and his unique ability to mock us mercilessly. I believe that the only ones immune to the constant onslaught of accusation and deception from Thrill Killer (Satan) are those so marinated in pride that they are no threat to the kingdom of darkness.
There is one weapon against these attacks that trumps all others…God’s word (Eph. 6:17). So how does this work? Read it, rehearse it and do that over again. The reason God makes multiple references to hiding truth in our hearts (Psalm 119:1)…is because walking in the truth implies the need to standing strong against the lies.
Listen, Satan is ruthless. He takes no prisoners (John 10:10). If you’re tired of getting hammered with lies and brutal attacks on you as a person…get into the word today and get the word into you!
